SMPlayer is OK, first start opens

I've seen that before, the first running of a new version doing that,
which is somewhat annoying, in itself, as it does allow a kind of user

as well as it being that my updates would not be coming from that
source. But today's pop-up window was a new one.

George Orwell's '1984' was supposed to be a warning against tyranny, not
a set of instructions for supposedly democratic governments.
