Generally speaking, give a device a hostname that's *unique* and useful
for you to know what it is. You could call it fred, storage, server,
basement, blackbox, five, whatever. But I'd avoid giving it the same
name as anything else (i.e. not nfs, cifs, samba, smb, etc).
At one stage I had a penchant for giving Windows PCs names related to
disasters. ;-) It seemed appropriate.
