Converting a .deb with alien almost never produces a reasonable rpm, in
my experience. It does the job it's supposed to do; but the results are
just not usually sufficient, particularly when it comes to system daemons.
In this case, the unifi init script is fairly debian-specific.
I figured something along those lines. My hope was that he could
extract the bits and futz with it to get it to go (I think it's a Java
app).
It was just an idea.
