You already have fedpkg. You can run
fedpkg co -a gsl
(Add a —branch f34 to get the Fedora 34 branch, or check it out manually with git)
And it will check out the branch in a directory called “gsl”. You can cd into that
directory, change the spec, add the source tarball or whatever, and run “fedpkg mockbuild”
to make it build the package using the current branch’s base. I do this all the time.
