rescue.iso.

Exactly the same here.
Downloaded X-cd-roast and burned it from the root user. So I suspect,
like you there is nothing wrong with my CD-R/W (works in WindowsXP) and
nothing wrong with X-cd-roast (cdrecord), so it must be nautilus.

I had this problem with FC6 as well. I used the dvd_grow (name might
be wrong) software from the command line and it would work. Sometimes
just jiggling the DVD would work as well. I chalked it up to a flaky
drive but I could be wrong.
