Wait a minute...
Do you mean that the next time Billy molests my MBR the script created
grub menu floppy has a better chance of working than the one I made with
the grub interactive commands????
If so then getting your script working just became job #1...
I don't much care about editing the menu I setup (fd0) to be different
from the menu I setup (hd0) If anyone I'd let near my PC have
insufficient brains to make a simple menu choice, then they haven't the
capacity to play those games anyway...

PS: found a way to get the kdesu konsole script to do the equivilent of
an "su -" rather than just a "su" {kdesu "konsole --ls"}
seams to work.
