Please note: 64k is a sub-directory limit. Not file limit.
The subdirectories-in-directory limit is not far from creating problems in
actual use cases.
For example:
# find /var/cache/wwwoffle/http -mindepth 1 -maxdepth 1 -type d|wc -l
61504
The limit is approaching.
But I'm not worried, as this is on reiserfs.
