I've tested a number of different grep permutations.. missing something..
grep -i ":--- 0" gg.dat
doesn't work...
I'm not looking to match regex but find the actual string.
Well, in the example you show, there's nothing with a colon (:) followed
by three dashes, some spaces and a zero. A number of entries have a
colon and TWO dashes, but none that are followed by spaces and a zero.
So, no, grep isn't going to find anything that matches.
