In Gnome Settings, go to the Power section. At the bottom, there's a section
labelled "Suspend & Power Button". Click on the Automatic suspend option
and you can configure it there.
FWIW, the OP did ask for a command line option to do that. And, what I gave him does
manipulate those
settings. And, he reports that doesn't work for him.
