I think that only part of the support was removed, so just like other
packages, it is better to have partial free support than no support at
all.
But also 'vainfo' does not return errors, or to put it
differently, does return something.

I get a slightly different output with the swap in place. I was also
getting a warning from firefox about vaapi before the swap.
