Allegedly, on or about 3 November 2018, Ranjan Maitra sent:
So, I wanted to mention that the following is what I have on my
/etc/default/grub
GRUB_TIMEOUT=5
GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR="$(sed 's, release .*$,,g' /etc/system-release)"
GRUB_DEFAULT=saved
GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU=true
GRUB_TERMINAL_OUTPUT="console"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="resume=UUID=a83ac239-cc10-43a6-be54-de4ce7050605
rhgb quiet"
GRUB_DISABLE_RECOVERY="true"
which is what it was even under F28.
Do I need to change anything here to make things work?
Check that your resume partition still has the same UUID as it used to
have.

The mindset of software designers: You know that feature that you, and
many thousands of other users, found useful? We removed it, because
we didn't like it. We also hard-coded the default settings that you
keep customising.
