I recently downloaded the four install files for fedora and then burned the first file to a disk just to make sure the computer would see the cd and prompt me to start the install. I figured that it wouldn't be this easy but I hoped. How do you get the comp. to see the cd? And also, is it as easy as just putting just a copy of the .rpm file on a cd? Please help!!! Thanks!

Hi
you need to change your BIOS Settings to change the boot sequence to check the CDROM first befoire the HDD. When you start up hit f2 or delete depending on your BIOS. The keys you hit can vary from BIOS Model to BIOS Model varies but those are the most common. Usually its under Advvanced Settings. Just search for it but be carful on what you change.

Hi,
How do you get the comp. to see the cd?
Assuming that you're trying to install the CD, put the disc in, ensure the first boot device is the CD.
If you've installed Fedora and it's running, put the CD in, click on the computer icon and click onto the CD icon.

Yep - it is that easy. Drag the file to the Nautilus CD burner and click on burn.
