Hi,
I would like to try out the latest Thunberbird beta but i can't find a rpm for it anywhere. Is a RPM of that latest beta even build by anyone?
If it is.. please send me a link.
Thanx, Mark

AFAIK there is no RPM yet (and I wouldn't expect there to be until the thing is actually released). Just download the tarball and unpack it. You can use it directly without installation. Note that it will change some profile settings in ~/.thunderbird so make a backup if you want to be careful.

I want to run it and tried that method your suggesting but i have fedora 64 bit installed and there is only a 32 bit binary of thunderbird available thus is asks for libs... compiling it under 64 bit doesn't seem to be working (haven't figured out why)

To add a little. it doesn't seem to be possible to run the i386 thunderbird on x64 fedora... you need to install so much i386 libraries for that.
And compiling thunderbird gives me this: /home/mark/Download/thunderbird-3.0b1-source/mozilla/config/nsinstall -R -m 644 nsIDBFolderInfo.idl nsIDBChangeListener.idl nsIDBChangeAnnouncer.idl nsIMsgDatabase.idl nsINewsDatabase.idl nsIMsgOfflineImapOperation.idl ../../../../mozilla/dist/idl /home/mark/Download/thunderbird-3.0b1-source/mozilla/config/nsinstall -R -m 644 _xpidlgen/nsIDBFolderInfo.h _xpidlgen/nsIDBChangeListener.h _xpidlgen/nsIDBChangeAnnouncer.h _xpidlgen/nsIMsgDatabase.h _xpidlgen/nsINewsDatabase.h _xpidlgen/nsIMsgOfflineImapOperation.h ../../../../mozilla/dist/include/msgdb gmake[5]: Leaving directory `/home/mark/Download/thunderbird-3.0b1-source/mailnews/db/msgdb/public' gmake[5]: Entering directory `/home/mark/Download/thunderbird-3.0b1-source/mailnews/db/msgdb/src' gmake[5]: Leaving directory `/home/mark/Download/thunderbird-3.0b1-source/mailnews/db/msgdb/src' gmake[4]: Leaving directory `/home/mark/Download/thunderbird-3.0b1-source/mailnews/db/msgdb' gmake[4]: Entering directory `/home/mark/Download/thunderbird-3.0b1-source/mailnews/db/gloda' /usr/bin/perl ./mozilla/build/autoconf/make-makefile -t ../../.. -d ../../.. modules/Makefile Can't open perl script "./mozilla/build/autoconf/make-makefile": No such file or directory gmake[4]: *** [modules/Makefile] Error 2 gmake[4]: Leaving directory `/home/mark/Download/thunderbird-3.0b1-source/mailnews/db/gloda' gmake[3]: *** [db/gloda_export] Error 2 gmake[3]: Leaving directory `/home/mark/Download/thunderbird-3.0b1-source/mailnews' gmake[2]: *** [export_tier_app] Error 2 gmake[2]: Leaving directory `/home/mark/Download/thunderbird-3.0b1-source' gmake[1]: *** [tier_app] Error 2 gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/home/mark/Download/thunderbird-3.0b1-source' make: *** [default] Error 2
..... what do i have to do to get those errors fixed and get it compiling? (os is Fedora 10 x64)

I am doing exactly that. My system is x86_64 and 32-bit Tbird works fine with no additional effort. I presume it's using 32-bit libraries but it seems I already had them by default.
Here's the output of 'ldd thunderbird-bin'. A couple of things are missing but they don't seem to matter (so far at least).
