I went to install a nvidia driver today and learned there are issues with livna. Do any one know when/if it is going to be fixed?
I get the following if any one is curious:

Are you sure it's not an issue with your system? Run rpm -q --qf '%{ARCH}\n' kernel kernel-smp and if it shows "i586" then the problem isn't with livna, it's with your machine which has gotten the wrong kernel installed due to an installer bug. I can't recall at the moment the procedure for fixing that.

Yep, that is the problem. Now .... how do I fix it?

This is detailed at

Googling
linux kernel 586 686 anaconda bug
will get you a raft of help. This has been discussed on this list before, you can look through the February archives for more indications.
Best wishes,
Ian
I experienced this a few times before when installing FC6 on some of my friends' computers (I thought it was an installation error I've done somewhere )
my solution was to install a different/older kernel .. boot into it .. and reinstall the new kernel ...
or perhaps this is a bug
