Hi,
My fedora 12 detects my wifi card. But i'm unable to activate the device. When I try to do that I have the following error:
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument.
Thank you

Which Linux to use with a Mac?
by James McKenzie
All:
I am looking at installing Linux on a very old piece of hardware. I've
tried FC12/13/14 but the screen is 'messed up' and it only has 384MB of
RAM. Also, I now have a brand new, shiny MacBookPro. Any ideas on what
to install on it as far as Linux. I'm trying to stay away from the
Linux distribution that starts and ends with U as my first experience
was not pleasant. I would like to stay with the RH family, if possible.

chkfontpath package in Fedora 15 Alpha
by fsosson@gmail.com
Hello,
I need to use chkfontpath command but I cannot find it in Fedora 15 Alpha.
It seems philosophy for font and font server for X has been changed.
Is there any doc to understand how it works now?
Thanks in advance,
regards,
Frederic

Display "Out of Range"
by gerrynix
I've 'inherited' a dozen MSI systems, Intel dual core, 4G RAM
All systems were ordered to be 'identical' from system board
level up, including flat panel display, to be used in training
scenarios.
All systems install FC w/o a hitch in the graphical installation
interface. However, when rebooted, 4 of the systems do not have
video, rather display an "Out of Range" message on the flat panel.
On the these offending systems, I can boot-up into single-user mode,
get normal video and can 'snoop around.' I did change initdefault to 3,
yet get the same "Out of Range" error on reboot. Therefore, I can say
with some confidence it is not an X server prob (not started in init 3),
but some config prob between single-user mode and run level 3.
Where do I look?

copy files from virtualbox -
by Bob Goodwin
How can I access files downloaded in virtualbox/Windows from
Fedora 14?
I a normal dual boot installation it's easy enough but I haven't
found a way to do it with vbox. Perhaps it can't be done?

Update fail
by Krosh Ivanov
Hi,
I updated my Fedora from 13 to 14, and nothing wrong happened during
the process. However, after rebooting I got the error "No such file
... found" when the command "fsck.ext4 /dev/mapper/VolGroup-lv_root"
was executed and the system didn't start. Is there something more that
I should do in addition to installing the packages?
Thanks,
Ivan

Bluetooth default in F14
by Frode Petersen
Hi. Bluetooth seems to be on as default. If I turn it off, it's on again
after reboot. Is there a way to set the default to off without disabling
it completely? I want to turn it on only when I need it.
