Do you actually use kdm as your display manager? I'm pretty sure it
has been depreciated and going forward sddm will
fully replace it. I've not used kdm in a long time and don't know how
well it is maintained.
You can run "systemctl status display-manager" to verify what DM
you're using.
If it is not kdm, I would "sudo dnf erase kdm".
Thanks Ed, I am using gdm
as my display manager. I could delete kdm, but
I keep it around in case I decide to move away from gdm. I have tried
sddm and hated it and I considered kdm to be significantly superior in
the user interface, and in my view unless sddm undergoes significant
interface development it is not worth using, kdm is far superior.
