Hi,
Am reviewing a request to include Hack fonts in Fedora:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2149686
The foundry short name is src and the full name is source-foundry.
Should the package name be:
a) src-hack-fonts
b) source-foundry-hack-fonts
The short name src may lead to confusion.
If the short name is to be preferred in most cases, can update the
packaging guidelines:
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/FontsPolicy
I think it's up to the packager to pick the most suitable name when upstream
uses multiple versions of a name. IMO "source-foundry" seems much clearer
than "src".
