It's much simpler. Off hand I can't think of what Workstation would be
missing out on.
rngd makes me a bit batty - mainly because I get non-deterministic
results between VM, and three real computers, i.e four different
behaviors. On each, it runs twice, slightly different results between
the two executions almost like it wants to try to run early to see if
it can succeed, but on these systems it doesn't so it runs again later
too. I have no idea if it's correct but systemd really dings the CPU
usage quite heavily.

That's the worst offender. Most are in the 4-8 second range. On 2 of
the 4 systems I've uninstalled rng-tools. I have no idea if it's
needed for some purposes.
