That means there was a problem with your installation. Changing the
user's password is supposed to change the default GNOME keyring password
to match as well.
in /etc/pam.d/passwd:
-password optional pam_gnome_keyring.so
So, how did you change your password?
as root: passwd user
So why not ask (or hint about) your account password, rather than
default keyring password?
