Hi Yuri,
Thanks your response, I try to be more precise. Yes, IPA transscript would
be a help, but I currently am talking about arabic written text that need
to be converted into latin letters. I have the table with the correct latin
phonetic pairs, and I would like to reach that when I feed in the arabic
text some program does the conversion for me. The main issue here is that I
need to make/edit a sort of 3 column dictionary and I would like to spare
some extra phonetic typing.... Libreoffice seems to be unusable for this,
but sort of ibus typing booster support would be great. Yet sadly, there is
seems to be that no support for any kind of arabic text, so converting -
making a phonetic transscript based on predefined letter pairs seems to me
impossible. But, maybe I can define m17n module somehow, so when I enter
the word it makes for me that transscript in other column ???? I wish, but
no idea that is possible or not.

Hi,
If I understand it right, then espeak with "-q --ipa" can do this for the
supported languages. Or this can be done with dictd (stardict/goldendict) +
CMU American English spelling [1] can do this for English...
Sorry if I get it wrong.
Best regards,
Yuri
